Très tôt jeudi 2 Avril, plus de 60 soldats de l'occupation israéliennes ont attaqué la maison de la parlementaire palestinienne Khalida Jarrar, une dirigeante de la gauche palestinienne et féministe. Elle a été brutalement arrêtée, l'armée est rentrée chez elle à coups de pied dans la porte d'entrée et tenant son mari dans une chambre séparée.

Dirigeante du Front Populaire pour la Libération de la Palestine (FPLP), Khalida Jarrar a résisté à la volonté de l'armée d'occupation de l'expulser de Ramallah à Jéricho pour six mois en septembre 2014.

Qui est Khalida?

Khalida est une avocate palestinienne, spécialisée dans la défense des prisonniers palestiniens au sein du réseau Addamer. Elle préside le Comité du Conseil législatif palestinien des Prisonniers. Elle est également active dans le mouvement des femmes palestiniennes, une voix féministe de premier plan pour la défense des droits des femmes.

Depuis 1998, elle est interdite de voyager à l'extérieur de la Palestine occupée; en 2010, alors qu'elle avait besoin d'un traitement médical en Jordanie, elle a lutté pendant des mois dans une campagne publique avant de finalement recevoir son traitement.

En août septembre 2014, une campagne internationale en soutien à Khalida Jarrar fut lancée, exigeant l'annulation de "l'ordonnance de surveillance spéciale" et de son transfert forcé de Ramallah à Jéricho. Jarrar a refusé l'expulsion à Jéricho. Au lieu de cela, elle a mis en place une tente de protestation dans la cour du Conseil législatif palestinien à Ramallah, où elle a vécu et travaillé jusqu'à ce que l'ordonnance fût levée le 16 Septembre, 2014. "C'est l'occupation qui doit quitter notre patrie", a déclaré Jarrar. La tente a été visitée par de nombreuses délégations palestiniennes et internationales, y compris les membres internationaux du Parlement.

Aujourd'hui, Il y a 18 membres du Conseil législatif palestinien élu emprisonnés par Israël, 9 en détention administrative sans procès ou sans charge. Les membres du CLP ont été à plusieurs reprises et systématiquement ciblé par les forces d'occupation israéliennes.

There are now 18 members of the elected Palestinian Legislative Council imprisoned by Israel, 9 under administrative detention without trial or charge. PLC members have been repeatedly and systematically targeted by Israeli occupation forces.

To Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Brigadier General Dani Efroni:
I write today to demand the immediate release of Palestinian member of parliament Khalida Jarrar. Jarrar, a longtime prisoners’ rights activist and political leader, was arrested in her Ramallah home in the early morning hours of April 2, as her home was stormed by dozens of soldiers and her husband locked in another room.
The targeting of Palestinian political leaders for arrest by Israeli occupation forces is an obvious attempt to silence and suppress Palestinian demands for freedom from occupation and apartheid. The arrest of Khalida Jarrar is also an attack on Palestinian women’s leadership and organizing.
Thousands of people and organizations around the world stood with Khalida Jarrar against the illegal forced transfer and expulsion by the IOF last fall, and we stand with her now and demand her immediate release.
The world is watching and we stand with Khalida against this injustice.
